This featured post is our journey of discovering we're about to be first time parents. It all started when I was preparing for surgery about 3 weeks ago, September 28, 2022. As procedure before going into surgery females take a pregnancy test. Because I urinated earlier, I opted to take a blood test. As I lay on the bed before being wheeled into the operating room, the doctor came into the room and said, "did they talk to you?" I said, "no". He goes on to say, "you're pregnant, I can't do the surgery."
I was in disbelief and said "I can't be I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome)." I looked at the doctor as if he was lying to me, and he looked backed at me with a straight face. That was when I knew he was not lying. The next step was to set an appointment with the OBGYN. I got an appointment for October 10, 2022.
The day has come to see the OBGYN. To our surprise I was 20 weeks and 6 days. Baby's head, spine and heart looked good. I heard the baby's heartbeat and started to cry on the bed. It was surreal.
Let us introduce our little peanut at 20 weeks and 6 days. Now we wait for the gender reveal. Stay tuned to the next posts :)
